Anemia:

Anemia especially affects people of all ages. Everyone is affected by anemia irrespective of whether they are educated or uneducated, rich or poor. As per NFHSIII calculation. But it affects very few males in the age group of 15-19 years.



1) Anemia :


A condition caused by a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin in the red blood cells is called anemia.


2) Function of hemoglobin in blood :


Hemoglobin plays an important role in carrying oxygen (oxygen) from the lungs to all the organs and tissues in the body. When the amount of oxygen required by the vital organs of the body decreases, health is seriously affected.


3) How much hemoglobin should normally be in the blood:


💥14 to 16 grams per 100 ml of blood in males


💥100 ml for women 12 to 14 grams in blood


4) Anemia occurs when hemoglobin falls below:

The diagnosis of anemia in men is based on a hemoglobin of less than 130 to 140 g/L (13 to 14 g/dL); in women, it is less than 120 to 130 g/L (12 to 13 g/dL).[1][7] Further testing is then required to determine the cause.



5) Causes of Anemia:
